How It Works

Maybe you’ve tried to repair your credit. Maybe you’ve done some research but are so overwhelmed by the process that you stopped. Maybe you don’t even know where to start.

The truth is, many people who take the step to repairing their credit do so because they’re not able to qualify for something they really want – be it a home, a car, or even a rental. If you feel embarrassed, ashamed, and discouraged about the possibility of repairing your credit so that you can have what you desire, you’re not alone.

We’re here to tell you that, when you have someone to lead you through the process, it doesn’t have to be difficult or painful.

During the credit repair process we’ll not only help you remove negative information from your credit report, but also educate you on how to strengthen your credit now and in the future. The  knowledge you’ll gain will serve you forever.

We stand by this guarantee:

We will remove negative information from your credit report that is inaccurate, out of date, obsolete, or unverifiable, and, if we cannot do that, we promise to refund some, if not all, of your money.

Even though I only had it for 10 weeks, my credit scores went up at least 100 points across the board. Michael guided me through the entire process and was very helpful in educating me on how to keep my credit at its new high level. I would definitely use them again and refer them to everyone who needs credit repair.

The Process: A Step By Step Overview

No Commitment Consultation

We typically have our initial conversation via phone, but it can be done in person as well – whatever your preference.

During the consultation we’ll:

  • Give you an overview of the credit repair process
  • Evaluate of your credit report

Enrollment

When you decide to move forward with your credit repair, you’ll provide the necessary information to begin the program (name, address, social, date of birth, email, and payment information), and preferably provides copies of ID documents.

Then we’ll:

  • Set up your account in the system
  • Enter your initial disputes (these consist of and all negative information currently showing on the credit report) as well as a reason for that account to be investigated.

Process Round 1 Disputes

Processing the Round 1 disputes consists of printing and mailing out letters to the 3 credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion)

Then:

  • The credit bureaus receive the letters and contact the creditors for all the items listed in the letter.
  • The creditors have 30 days to investigate the items and respond to the credit bureaus with their results.
  • If the creditors are unable or unwilling to verify the accuracy of the item, then the credit bureaus must immediately delete that item. If the creditor fails to respond within the 30 day period, for any reason, the credit bureaus will also delete the item.
  • The credit bureaus are supposed to mail the client the results of their investigation (this does not always happen but it doesn’t affect the result.)
  • You’ll receive the responses from the credit bureaus after they’ve received responses from the creditors.
  • We update your file with either the responses from the credit bureaus (if you send them in) or by using an updated credit report (typically from an online monitoring site)
  • Once the account is deleted, it is permanently removed, you will never see it again, and your score will go up immediately.

Process Round 2 Disputes

  • We repeat the initial process approximately every 35-38 days (as long as you remain in the program) for items we were not able to have removed during the first round. This is not a one and done deal. We keep trying.
  • Each time we send another round of letters we change the focus of the argument, so that it’s not the same letters and arguments each time.
  • We often dispute the validity of the evaluation process itself, as opposed to just the item, as it gives us another method to cause the creditors to stumble, which leads to the item being deleted.
  • However, typically between Rounds 6-9, disputes to the credit bureaus become ineffective, and that is when we transition to disputing the items directly with the creditors. These are known as creditor disputes.

How Creditor Disputes work:

  • Typically there is only one real shot to have the item deleted.
  • However, creditors are required to provide information directly to the client establishing “proof” that the item is accurate, which is harder for the bureaus to accomplish. If the creditor verifies the item, then there is not much chance at further disputing that item for 6-12 months, as the bureaus will simply find the item as being “verified”, but if they cannot verify the item, we can take further action to have it removed.

Credit repair takes time and consistency, which is why it’s crucial to have someone manage the process for you. Many individuals who go it alone try once and fail to follow up, which is why their credit never becomes as good as it could be.

We’ve seen incredible results for our clients. Our average client sees 40-50% of the negative items deleted from their report over a 6 month period. Check some of their results out.
